I wrote this because it’s nice to be included in something. It’s imperative to be alone a lot. Some people use isolation for domestic maintenance. Some of us like to forget we are where we are. It’s easy to forget but it’s agonizing to stop forgetting (there is a word for that). What a waste of time, to have written 1600 songs or so. How many are any good? About as many as you would think. Far fewer than I would have hoped. Except, they all sound really good when I’m preparing to write another one. When I’m ready to write another one, I’m usually medicated. That helps things sound great. So if the 1550 songs sound as great as the 50 in that state, odds are the next one will sound like the other 1550. That’s why you shouldn’t medicate yourself. The only real benefit to the lack of inhibition that medicine can create is the basic flow of lyrical content. Even when it’s awful it was exactly what you were thinking about and precisely how close or far you were from what you wanted. Playing and singing lousy is a reality of my music (it is vital to buy as many instruments as possible and not learn how to play any of them). The lyrics are bad as well; written in as much time as it takes to read them, but there is a certain reality there, especially when the song is about being a love sick misogynist (whether or not the sentiment is based on loneliness or logic). Music is really just a way to relieve pressure. I don’t know how common that is but I know it’s not unheard of. It doesn’t matter what kind of song comes out. It could have even been a short story or a drawing or a brutal hostage situation where I kill one person an hour until someone brings me what I demand or I grow too tired to stand; all to pass time and reduce stress. I think I’d like to watch certain people crumble. It would let me stop for a while. I like to empty out my skeletons with a nasal tone and remind myself of all the things I’ve thought about doing and done. It usually comes out sounding really obscure, but it isn’t anything anyone should hear straightforward. I’d have to answer a lot of questions if it turned out anyone was listening. I wrote this because it’s nice to be included in something.
